  • What kind of wax do you use?
We use 100% soy wax, a renewable resource that's biodegradable and free from harmful chemicals. It's a little more complex to work with and can be trickier to ship due to lower melting temperatures than other types of wax, however, because of this lower melting point our customers have a longer burn time and can enjoy the candles just a little longer. Also, we believe the health benefits of a natural wax is worth it.
  • Do I need to trim the wick?
Candles are shipped ready for their first use however, please always make sure your wick is about 1/4" from the wax before lighting.
  • How long should an order take to get to me?
All of our candles are hand-made and we do have many in stock, so our goal is to have them shipped within 48 hours. We have opted for faster 2-Day shipping so our candles aren't left in hot locations or facilities so they arrive in the best condition possible.
  • Where do you get your wax?
The 100% soy wax used at American Country Candles is sourced from a a soy bean farmer in America. We find it important to buy American Manufactured products wherever possible.
  • Is your wax organic
While Soy wax is a 100% natural and renewable source, any vegetable wax goes through a chemical process that does not allow it to meet the "organic" certification. So unfortunately we cannot say yes, but we can tell you the farmers we source from are committed to ethical production and ensuring a paraffin free product.
  • Why Soy Wax?
Although soy is more expensive than paraffin, it is also better for your health and the environment considering paraffin is made from petroleum. We would rather justify the cost of our product than ingredients that are harmful to you and your loved ones.
